As much as Marvel is doing good with their films lately, they aren't doing so well with their comics in my opinion. And when I said that, I mean they are messing up some of their famous characters.

Thor is a woman now (granted, I know Jane Foster has cancer and needs to be Thor to live, but I preferred the male one). Iron Man is in a coma, and his role is occupied by an African woman (don't mind it, I ain't racist) and Dr. Doom of all people!

But what really ticks me off is the whole turning Captain America into a Hydra sleeper agent and turning America (in the Marvel universe) into a dictator state.

Hopefully the Marvel Legacy can fix the damage, but as such, I am glad to only be collecting only the Star Wars books from Marvel, as well as the Avengers cartoon comic book series.

And this is why I ignore the existence of comics, they're like tabloid magazines, fulla crap.

Basicalły your beef is other characters taking up the mantle?

dude..it's bound to happen...they can't do it forever. Hell, dick Grayson was batman at some point and spderman isn't always Peter

Characters taking up a superhero codename is not an uncommon practice, though. Both Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes have taken up the name Captain America. It's just a temporary change to shake the books up and gauge interest.

Oh yes. How dare they try something different and not be all happy endings (!)

...it's change. Get used to it. Not every thing can be the same forever.

Nice use of sarcasm, TimeBoy...and you're absolutely right. It's like I said before, the times are changing and we have to change with the times or else we get left behind like the dinosaurs or the prehistoric beasts.

I must apologize. I am just letting out my frustration against what Marvel has done. A lot of fans are backlashing some of the changes, mostly the Cap America part.

Well, not everything is fixed and canon like Star Wars, which was previous called Expanded Universe with lots of confusion and headaches in connecting stories to the films until Disney brought them. They create new comics and novel in connecting to each other exception of films and Clone Wars (2008)
