My Little Heroines: FIM Episode 9 part 1

Blind-le Gossip

Blossom looks a bit skeptic especially when the kids stood near her, using Furrball and Stitch's heads as an arm rest to help get them towards eye level.

"Did you see her, Blossom? Did you see the old woman?" Dani ask Blossom in concern.

"Dani, don't even go bother even mentioning that lady!" Kim exclaims to Dani in concern. "She is not to be trusted!"

Ryan took a peek out at the woman who resumes her mission. He blinks and ask, "Wait a minute...isn't that Mama Odie?"

"You know her?" Kim ask Ryan, surprised that her friend's cousin knows that mysterious spooky woman.

"Well I've heard of her, but my friend Louis the alligator knows of her, too."

"Well, she did glance this way, I know." Blossom said with a shrug.

"You mean glance EVILLY this way!" Stitch insists frantically to Blossom.

"Right, then most of you freak out for no reason."

"No reason, my foot!" Kim snaps as she pulls the kids closer. "I say protecting your relatives is a good reason!" The girl lets them go, patting Jim on the head while adding, "Heck, once Jim, Tim and Dani saw Mama Odie coming into town, they are shaking like mad!"

The kids are shaken like mad by Kim to prove her point. But Jim insists, "Kiiiiimmm, we diiid nooot."

Kim stops her shaking as Tim exclaims, "We are okay, really!"

"Then I pick the three up and brought them here..." Kim insists, saying as she picks up the trio, trying to prove her point.

"We walked here by ourselves, Kim!"

"For safekeeping!"

"For crying out loud!" Dani exclaims as she and the Boys jumps out of Kim’s hold, landing on the floor. "We aren't babies, Kim! We can take care out of ourselves!"

"Right, knock it off, will ya?" Jim ask Kim in annoyance. Why must his sister teach him, Tim and Dani like babies?

"Not when it comes to that mysterious Mama Odie!" Kim exclaims at the kids in concern. Blossom frowns, rolling her eyes. She can't believe how silly they are!

"Right, she is mysterious." Bubbles said in worried.

"Sinister." Buttercup adds, with a deep frown on her face.

"And spooooooky!" Lilo exclaims as her eyes grow wide from what she said.

Blossom is not convinced. She and Ryan peeks out the window, but yelps as the others and Furrball peeks out, putting the two are the bottom. Mama Odie removes her hood, revealing that she is also wearing a turban on her head. Someone came up to her to help the old woman out in something. It's a white hair female with a ponytail and light violet eyes, she wears a pink purple cloak with purple tights/boots and black upper leg braces and has a bag filled with magic items.

"Ugh, will you cut that out?" Blossom groans as she and Ryan manages to get out from under the gang.

"But look at her, her eyes...they look like they are filled with evil, though moi can barely see them through her sunglasses." Fifi said in concern. "And yet she appears to moving around, as if helpless!"

"Wait, it's obvious that she's blind." Ryan said with a sigh, much to the others in surprise.

"Blind?!" Most of the group exclaims in surprise.

"Yes, she wears sunglasses. It isn't that sunny out so Mama Odie must be wearing them because of her blindness." Blossom said with a sigh. "Blindness is something she got by accident or was born with!" Hearing that, causes Fifi to cry out and faint a bit. "Oh good grief."

"Well, blind or no, I have never seen her like her in these parts, until now!" Kim explains to her friends in concern.

"Like, being blind is no big deal and junk." Shirley said as she and the others look out to Mama Odie and the girl who are working at the ground once more. "Most likely, Mama Odie is from a faraway land."

As Furball slips into the kitchen, not wanting to get into this, Blossom ask, "And just what makes all of you think she is evil?"

"For one thing, she practices voodoo." Kim explains clearly to Blossom.

"That's not proof she's evil!"

"Not on its own, no, but she ALSO lives in the middle of the Lost Woods." Fifi said, revealing where Mama Odie lives at. "The most dangerous part of Townsville. An area only WE have ever ventured into and come out alive."

Blossom roll her eyes as she adds, "Maybe the middle of Townsville is just brighter and warmer than the climate she is USED TO."

"And she has taken in a known magical felon as an apprentice." Stitch said, referring to the girl that is helping Mama Odie.

"Like, maybe she is trying to reform Charmcaster by teaching her non-evil magic use." Shirley said to Stitch with a frown on her face.

"And what makes you think that's the case?" Buttercup ask Shirley skeptically.

"Like, I'm a mind-reader, remember? And I picked up, like, totally zero evil thoughts from her head."

"Indeed. Plus, I have done VERY careful research on her. She might be eccentric and aloof, but she is not even close to evil. And all of Townsville should be ashamed of themselves for treating her so coldly just because she's different. And the six of YOU," Ryan said as he is looking at Kim, Fifi, Lilo, Stitch, Buttercup and Bubbles, "should be ESPECIALLY ashamed of yourselves for believing such vicious idle rumors about someone just because she's different."

Suddenly a thunderclap shakes the room, scaring Kim, Bubbles, Lilo and Stitch like mad. The kids are a bit thrown off balance, but aren't freaked out.

"Furrball!" Blossom exclaims angrily towards the kitchen area.

The "thundercap" was actually a couple of pans that Furrball dropped while getting a snack for himself. The cat sheepishly said, "Sorry about that!"

"Back to the Lost Woods. We all know that place isn't natural." Kim said seriously to the others. "The plants grow..."

"The animals care for themselves..." Bubbles said, shivering a bit.

"And the clouds move..." Buttercup said, adding that part to the list.

"....all by themselves!" The trio exclaims at the same time. This explanation causes Fifi, who recovered, to faint all over again. Blossom on the other hand isn't impressed at all still.

"Yeah! That wicked enchantress Mama Odie and Charmcaster are living there, doing their evil stuff! Oh, they are so bad, I even wrote a song about Mama Odie!" Lilo explains frantically to Blossom and Ryan.

"Here we go." Buttercup said, rolling her eyes. Lilo begins to dance in front of Blossom.

Lilo: She’s an evil enchantress, she does evil dances

Lilo then grabs her friend, making her own eyes turn into hypnotic spirals while singing.

And if you look deep in her eyes, she’ll put you in trances

Kim held onto Jim, Tim and Dani in terror, though the kids in annoyance push her off.

Then what will she do? She’ll mix up an evil brew
And she’ll gobble you up in a big tasty stew

Lilo finishes the song by standing on a table, holding her hands up in the air while doing a best menacing pose.

So…watch out!

Once the song is over, Lilo heaves for breath. Blossom pauses then said a bit impressed, "Wow, that is...catchy."

"It's a work in progress." Stitch said with a smile as Lilo got off the table.

"Don't be silly. Those are all just crazy rumors about Mama Odie and Charmcaster." Ryan said with an annoyed sigh, shaking his head. He comment, "As bearers of the Elements of Harmony, you are expected to be holding to higher standards than to blindly believe cruel gossip."

Ryan's right, before we jump to any further conclusions, tell me what you saw Mama Odie and Charmcaster doing." Blossom said, wanting some proof that Mama Odie and Charmcaster are bad before she thinks they are evil herself.

"Okay, once a month, they come into Townsville." Buttercup explains, giving out one example.

"Like, oooooh." Shirley said, being a bit sarcastic on that.

"Then...they lurks by the stores." Fifi explains as she got back up to her feet.

"Oh, wow." Ryan said, rolling his eyes while being sarcastic too.

"Also, Mama Odie digs at the ground too." Bubbles said meekly and timidly.

"Good gracious!" Blossom remarks sarcastically. This causes the kids to look at her uneasily. The red hair roll her eyes, asking, "Okay, sorry, but how is this stuff bad anyway? Perhaps they come to town to visit."

"Right, being so neighborly too!" Dani exclaims in agreement.

"Yeah, and maybe Mama Odie and Charmcaster isn't lurking by any stores. Perhaps they are going to them, not lurking, for some shopping."

"Right, everyone likes to shop!" Jim exclaims in agreement.

"Ever thought of that?" Tim remarks in agreement with his brother.

"Boys!" Kim exclaims in irritation. "Come on, keep quiet so the big folks can talk!"

"Hey, we're big folks too!"

"Okay, try explaining Mama Odie digging at the ground!" Buttercup exclaims to Blossom and Ryan, challenging them to explain that. "You got to admit, that's weird."

"Why, they may be digging for innocent creatures!" Bubbles exclaims frantically.

As Lilo and Stitch starts singing and cavorting nearby, Blossom sighs, "Come on, there must be an explanation for what Mama Odie does."

Ryan nods as he adds, "I mean Mama Odie may seem a bit odd...but that's no reason to quickly accuse her of anything...especially with accusing her assistant. Besides...Mama Odie specializes in voodoo--."

"Who do?" Jim ask with a smirk, making a joke of what Ryan just said.

"You do!" Tim exclaims with a laugh.

Ryan smirks as he chuckles, "Very funny, you two."

"So...how are your legs feeling, Ryan?" Dani ask Ryan, wondering how the man's legs been.

"Well, Dani...they're healing and I can still walk...but barely. Maybe Mama Odie can help me with my legs."

"Right, I'm sure if anyone here can actually be brave enough to approach her, someone will find out the truth." Blossom said in agreement. Most of the others, especially Lilo and Stitch who fell quiet, looks disbelief. Is she suggesting the idea of approaching Mama Odie?

"Like, right. Who wants to do so?" Shirley ask her friends with a nod.

As the group continues discussing, Dani groans, tossing her head back in defiance as she opens the door, "Well, I'm brave enough. I will find out for myself."

"Wait for us!" Jim exclaims as he and Tim follows Dani out of the building in precaution but determination. They will show everyone that they're brave enough for this!

The trio of kids peeks around the corner and saw Mama Odie, whose hood is back up, talking with Charmcaster. The three gasps and duck back for a moment before they risk another look. Dani's group hurries as they go closer to the two in an alley between two houses.

By this time, Mama Odie and Charmcaster got their digging done. The girl looks back for a moment before she and the woman left. The kids look at the two from the alley and some bushes, working their way closer. They won't rest until the truth is known.

Now back at the shop, Blossom groans, "You folks are being ridiculous!"

"That's what I told them!" Shirley exclaims, rolling her eyes

"Oh yeah? Well, if weega are ridiculous, then explains this!" Stitch exclaims in determination. "Stitch hears that the old lady eats...fruit!"

"Uh, I eat fruit, Ryan eats fruit; so does everyone else here." Blossom said dryly at the suggestion, pointing out how everyone else in Townsville eats fruit.

"Right, how is that evil?" Ryan ask Stitch in disbelief.

"It’s how she eats it, the evil way!" Lilo explains a bit nervously. "As for Charmcaster, she said to curse anyone who even gets on her and Mama Odie's bad side..."

"Hey, where are the kids?" Kim ask in concern, wondering where her brothers along with Dani are.

"Oh no!" Bubbles gasps as everyone saw the door opens. "The door is open!"

"Sacre bleu, did they went outside?!" Fifi ask in shock and horror.

"And Mama Odie with her punk kid are still out there!" Buttercup exclaims in horror, fearing the worst. What if those kids ran into Mama Odie and Charmcaster?!

"Those foolish kids, I told them to stay put!" Kim exclaims angrily as she, Fifi, Bubbles, Shirley, Lilo, Stitch and Buttercup rush outside. They hope to get to the kids in time.

"Girls, they are probably..." Ryan just groans, shaking his head in annoyance. "Why does anyone not listen to me anymore?"

Blossom flies after her friends and sisters, stopping as she calls out, "Furrball!" The cat peeks out of the kitchen, holding one pan and wearing a dirty one on his head. "You stay here in case Jim, Tim and Dani were to come back!"

"Right, come on." Ryan said as she and Blossom rush out of the store.

"Will do!" Furrball exclaims in salute. He hopes the others will get the kids before Mama Odie and Charmcaster does.

Mama Odie and Charmcaster walks on a path that leads from the meadowlands on the outskirts of Townsville right into the Lost Woods. It is late afternoon as the kids poke their heads from a bush and, though in hesitation, follows the two. Jim, Tim and Dani stops at the edge of the shadows cast by the wild overgrowth. The woods does look dangerous.

After nervously swallowing, Dani's group rushes after Mama Odie and Charmcaster, doing their best to keep their distance as the two walks on a path that is lined with plants with vivid blue leaves on them. The kids curiously continue following, doing their best not to get too close unless necessary.

"Tim, Jim, Dani!" Kim calls out. This causes Mama Odie and Charmcaster to look back, as did the kids who gasps in alarm. There's the heroines, Stitch and Ryan who are behind them with a stretch of plants between Dani's group and the heroines. "You all get back here right now!"

"Yeah, you crazy going after those two?" Stitch ask in disbelief.

"Hey, Ah wouldn't come closer if Ah were y’all!" Mama Odie spoke for the first time in a Southern accent as she slowly backs up into a sudden spurt of mist. "Those leaves o’ blue aren't a joke."

Charmcaster nods as she adds, "Go closer and you will regret it!"

Kim frowns, rushing in to the kids and got in front of them, scowling, "You! You keep your creepy mumbo jumbo stuff to yourself!"

"Ih, take a hike, Mama Witchie and Charmwitch!" Stitch exclaims in agreement.

Lilo sings on, "She’ll gobble you up in a big tasty stew—"

"Oh brother." Blossom groans, rolling her eyes at this.

"Beware, beware!" Mama Odie booms as she and Charmcaster disappears into the mist.

Buttercup of course stood in the patch of blue-leaved plants, scowling, "Yeah, well, right back at you two! And Charmcaster, your lame curses are the ones who should beware!"

"Kids, why didn't you listen to me?!" Kim demands furiously to Tim, Jim and Dani. She can't believe those three would disobey her and come out all this way, following two dangerous people.

"Well, I..." Dani begins to speak in concern.

"Heck, who knows what kind of curse that Charmcaster may have put on you and my brothers?"

"Like my song!" Lilo exclaims. By this time, all girls are in the strangely hued vegetation, with Lilo singing again as she jumps around in the stuff. "Evil enchantress, with the dances, and the trances—"

"Cut it out, there are no such things as curses!" Shirley exclaims with a frown.

"Ha! That's interesting to hear, coming from a loon who uses magic herself!" Buttercup snaps at Shirley as she flew low through the plants while tapping through her hair.

"Like, what I told Blossom before, its real magic which comes from within, a skill one is born without!"

"Right, curses are nothing but artificial, fake magic! It was made with potions and incantations, with smokes and mirrors meant to scare folks." Blossom remarks, unaware that Buttercup is flying behind her, making faces at her sister. "Curses don't have any real power, okay? Just an old folk’s tale."

Blossom's eyes pop suddenly. Why does that sound familiar? During this time, the group walks out of the forest, through a patch of plants that seems to grown most of the open area. Kim, hanging back, heads on, but didn't notice that her brothers and Dani are nowhere in sight. Probably are taking another path.

"Blossom, I'm telling ya, you will learn that some tales are really true." Kim said as she walks off with a pouty look.

Blossom just roll her eyes. Curses...yeah, right!

It was nighttime in Townsville. Blossom is in her bed, trying her bed to sleep in. But as she shifts in her sleep, images of what she saw and happened yesterday...are causing her to have trouble sleeping.

Lilo's image is singing, "She’s an evil enchantress, she does evil dances—"

"Beware, beware!" Mama Odie's image booms eerily. As Blossom continues trying to sleep, shifting a bit; images from her day float and wave across.

"If you look deep in her eyes, she will put you in trances—"

"Yeah, is that supposed to scare us?" An image of Buttercup demands in annoyance.

"That woman is wicked, wicked!" Fifi's image exclaims frantically.

"She's good with a curse." Bubbles's image said nervously.

Lilo's image sang, "Then what will she do?"

Kim's image spoke sternly, "Blossom, I'm telling ya, you will learn that some tales are really true." Lilo's image sings the rest of her song.

Then she’ll gobble you up in a big tasty stew
So…watch out!

The last image is of Mama Odie, hood up and her eyes glowing behind her sunglasses while laughing like mad. Blossom groans, sleeping and tossing briefly in an uneasy doze, grabbing at her pillow.

The next morning in Ponyville, the rooster crows, waking Blossom up. Her hair is a big mess, probably due to the tossing she did last night. The girl groans as she forces her eyes pen.

Ryan came into the bedroom, smiling as he spoke, "Hey, Blossom! How are you today?"

"What a dream...curses, schmures." Blossom mumbles as she got up and heads over to a vanity, glancing at her hair messed up. "Whoa! Ha ha ha! Maybe Charmcaster cursed my hair."

Blossom grabs a brush and laughing as she got to work on her hair. But the girl gasps in shock as her brushing reveal...blue spots on her forehead which appears to be made out of rubber!

Blossom frantically tries to use her telekinesis to get a wash cloth, believing she could get the mess off, but to her shock, nothing's happening!

"Or maybe she cursed my telekinesis!" Blossom exclaims in horror.

"Oh dear...this is not good." Ryan said in worry and concern at his cousin's condition. Something terrible has happened!

Author's note
Yikes! What's wrong with Blossom? In the next chapter, something's wrong with the rest of the gang (minus Stitch and Ryan), leaving Mama Odie and Charmcaster to be suspected of wrong doings. As the gang heads back to find a cure for their condition, the kids got other things of their own. Read, review and suggest.
