Chapter 2: Visiting Skroob

A train roars through a station and past a platform where folks are hanging about. Some of them are at a restaurant, reading whatever newspaper that they can get. One certain person reads the Daily Bugle, sighing as he saw an article 'DANNY FENTON: THE CHOSEN ONE?'
Whoever is reading looks at another article that is on the back page: 'Zhao Sentenced to the Article Circle'; The article itself has two photographs accompanying it: one that is of Zhao in prison and the other of Narissa and Paul, the boy looks upset as he and his mother leaves a courtroom with his eyes looking distant and haunted.
"Say, Danny Fenton? Who is Danny Fenton?" A female voice spoke up. The reader, Danny, drops the paper and saw a young Goth girl waitress named Gwen, grinning looking pretty.
"Oh no...just a bit of a weirdo." Danny said with a chuckle. As he watches Gwen cleaning off wrappings of the chips that he was eating, the hero saw the smooth skin of neck. Wow, looks pretty.
"Eh, that paper of yours looks funny. I could've sworn that a few nights ago, I saw one of the pictures move."
"Oh, really?"
"For a moment, I thought I was nuts." Gwen jokes a bit, making a smile. The girl prepares to leave, Danny saw his chance.
"Hey, listen, I was wondering..." Danny begins to say, getting a bit anxious but Gwen cuts him off, knowing what he has in mind.
"Eleven, that's when I get off. Yeah, you can tell me about that weirdo Danny Fenton then."
Gwen leave, making Danny smiles widely then reaches into his coat to get some mints. The hero wants to look good for this girl.
"So...been eying that pretty gal, eh, Danny?" A familiar voice spoke up. Danny yelps as he turns to see his adopted brother, Ryan Huffman of Narnia, sitting nearby, grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
"Ry...what are you doing here?" Danny asks Ryan after calming down from the surprise.
"Master Obi-Wan sent me, for one thing. The second thing was, well, I just wanted to check up on you."
"Badly...and I got those jerks at High Command to thank. If only they had listened to the warnings about Vader before..."
Ryan nods in understanding. Danny has the right to be angry at the former High Command, for they and Elmer, who is no longer the Prime Minister of Magic, has ignored his, Obi-Wan's, Ryan's and of course those who tried to warned them of the return of Vader himself.
It all started when Danny and his cousin Alan Matthews were attacked by what appeared to be Heartless (later turned out to be Nobodies) and if it weren't for the interference of Brooklyn and Danny's Expecto Patronum spell, they would've been dead! Unfortunately, the result of the halfa using the spell got him expelled from Toonwarts.
Later, Danny was picked up by his friends who are in the Order of the Ho-Oh, being informed that his expulsion has been delayed and he has to stand trial to see if he can be reinstated to Toonwarts. The halfa discovered that Elmer has been accusing him and Obi-Wan of lying about Vader's return, mostly out of fear that the Jedi is planning on taking over the High Command as well as his job.
Although Danny was clear of all charges and reinstated to Toonwarts, his troubles didn't ended there. The High Command, wanting some control at the school, has appointed Pearl Forrester, the woman who tried to get Danny expelled in the trial, to the position of Defense against The Dark Arts in an attempt to keep Obi-Wan and the teachers from teaching any fighting magic to the student.
Pearl works her hardest to keep fighting magic from being taught as well as keep 'lies' about Vader's return to a minimum, even throwing Danny into detention, making him use a pen that uses his blood literally and makes the words 'I will not tell lies' and it was pure torture.
Since Pearl won't be helping out at all, especially since the woman has become the new High Inquisitor that made new rules that made life at Toonwarts difficult, the group decides to train a group of students, with Ryan and some friends' helps, in a place called the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, in secret and labeling them the Knights of Toonwarts. Danny and Ariel meanwhile became closer, much to the dismay of June who has a crushed on Danny. Ryan later found out that June is related to royalty called Te Xuan Ze's, which means that Jake's cousin may have a chance to be with him (even though Danny doesn't care much for royalty laws).
Danny found out that he can look into Vader's mind especially when he saw his Arbok Sheila attacked Jake's father Jonathan at the High Command. Worried that the Sith Lord may end up trying to influence Danny, Obi-Wan asked Vlad to teach the halfa on Occlumency in hopes to seal off that, though each lesson ends up in failure...and reveals that Danny's father Jack used to bully Vlad when they were going to school at Toonwarts.
Things get worst when there's a breakout at the Arctic Circle with Vicky, the one who helped tortured Butters's parents, being one of them, and Vader has gotten the alliances of DK's kind known as the Kongs. And it got even worst when Pearl and her goons found out the location of the training room thanks to Ariel (who was under the influence of a truth serum that forced her to help). Obi-Wan took the blame for making an 'army' to keep Danny safe and became a fugitive with Pearl becoming the headmaster afterwards. Ariel became shunned after that but was later forgiven.
After the Elric brothers left Toonwarts, Danny got a vision of Ansem being tortured and tried to contact him but was captured by Pearl and her goons again. And when the truth serum couldn't be available, Pearl thought of using the Cruciatus Curse to force Danny to yell, revealing that she was the one who send the Nobodies after Danny last summer in an attempt to shut him up about his 'lies' once and for all.
To escape Pearl, Danny and Betty lures her to the symbiotes' nest, only to run into trouble with the centaurs whose attacked Pearl attacked as she insulted and assaulted them. Danny and Betty were able to get further help by DK's half brother King Kong.
Danny, Betty, Jake, Ryan and some of their friends from the Knights of Toonwarts head off to the High Command and found a prophecy before running into the Black Dragons whom revealed the Vader made up that vision of Ansem being tortured to lure Danny into getting the prophecy. A fight broke out which got the Order of the Ho-Oh involved...and things went tragic when Ansem was killed by Vicky while saving Ryan's father Eli from her.
Vader appears as well as Obi-Wan, resulting in another major fight. During the end, the Sith Lord tries to possess Danny but the halfa, with the help of Obi-Wan, Ryan and his friends, was able to fight off Vader's influence. Elmer and the rest of the High Command arrive later, stunned to see the truth: that Vader has indeed come back.
Soon, right after Pearl was removed from Toonwarts and Obi-Wan was reinstated, the Jedi reveals that the reason Vader wanted to kill Danny in the first place is to keep a prophecy that would destroy him from happening and the reason that Danny himself must stay at the Matthews is because his mother Maddie's blood still flows through her sister Coco but the charm is scheduled to end on the halfa's 17th birthday. It was later on that Elmer himself was sacked from his job as Prime Minister and Davy Jones, a infamous pirate, took his place.
Danny sighs as he looks down, feeling like it's his own fault as well. If only he had known that the vision was a lie, Ansem would still be alive...then again, if Danny hasn't fallen for it, the world wouldn't have finally be convinced that Vader has indeed come back. Oh, the irony!
"Still sad about what happened to Ansem?" Ryan asks Danny who looks down some more. "Relax, Danny. Ansem's body maybe gone, but his spirit stayed behind."
"You mean?" Danny asks his adopted brother hopefully.
"Yeah. Ansem's a ghost, because he cannot enter Heaven until he has been avenged."
Wouldn't that be good; just then Danny looks up as he saw something: the light on the other side of the platform is flickering. The halfa blinks as the light flickers, joined by a small cloud of glittering dust that dances on the other side. As a train roars past, Danny looks through the window until the train passes.
Danny looks surprised as the dust seems to have turned into three figures. One of them is Obi-Wan who peers across the platform then waves to the two brothers. The other is Eli and the last one appears to be an animal of some kind.
"Well, looks like Obi-Wan is here." Ryan said, noticing the newcomers himself. "Let's greet them, shall we?"
The two boys head out onto the platform and goes over to the other side of the platform. Obi-Wan was looking at an ad for perfume that shows a model with a wand in her teeth. The slogan is 'You Can make A little Magic With Your Man Tonight'. That would never work.
"Nice, but that would never work." Eli remarks with a chuckle.
"Yes, I once knew a Muggle girl from Liverpoll with hair like spun silk. No light would ever resist it." Obi-Wan said in amusement. Turning to Danny, he glares while saying sternly, "Danny, you have been reckless this summer."
"Sorry, I just like riding around on the trains. It allows me to take my mind off of...things." Danny said with a nod. The others know what 'things' that the poor boy is preferring to. Danny notes something odd: one of Obi-Wan's hands is now ash black for some reason.
"Try not to stare, Danny. It's not nice." Ryan jokes to Danny a bit. The halfa decides to change the subject by putting it on the third visitor.
"Sir, who's that," Danny asked, pointing to the yellow and orange fox wearing blue gloves and a eye mask.
"This is Swiper, Danny." Obi-Wan said. "He is a new member of the Order."
"Not to mention I'm here to read out Ansem's will to you." Swiper frowns. "I'm sorry to hear about his death."
"Yeah, glad to...wait, his will?" Danny ask, a bit surprised and concerned.
"Turns out Ansem left some things for you, Kairi and his wife," Eli explains to Danny with a smile. "We came over to your place to tell you about it but you weren't there. We told those 'Romans' you called your relatives. They were freaked out."
"Swiper, the will," Obi-Wan said to Swiper who took out some papers.
Swiper coughs before speaking, "'The Last Will and Testament of Ansem the Wise. I, Ansem the Wise, wish to give out the following in my will in the likely event that I would meet my demise during our fight against Lord Vader and his Black Dragons. To my wife Terra Branford and my daughter Kairi, as well as my godson Danny, I leave all of my money in my vault at the Fifth Third Wizard Bank, though Kairi and Danny cannot touch the money until they reach the legal age of 17. Also, to Danny, I also leave my worldly possessions which include my motorcycle which I gave to DK on the night it happened. I also give you my old friend Silver the Lugia, the same one who helped me escape Toonwarts in Danny's third year.'"
"Nothing against Silver but I don't think I could keep him. I wouldn't know where to hide him and my family had it bad enough that I got a Noctowl and two dogs." Danny explains to Swiper in concern. "Perhaps Silver should go and live with DK. He likes it there obviously."
"Yes, I was hoping you would say that, Danny, because I've already taken the arrangements to have Silver return to DK, oh you should've seen the reunion." Obi-Wan remark with a proud smile. "We also renamed him 'Soul Silver' and gave him a new appearance but he is still the same Pokémon. Luckily, the ones still working at the renamed Council Narnia will never know that he was the same Lugia that was once sentenced to death."
Swiper waits until he goes back to reading the will, "'And of course, I leave my family house 12 Radiant Garden Avenue to Danny as well'..."
"Forget it. I mean, not that I don't mind having a new house after I graduate but I don't want to live in a place where Ansem was prisoner during his run from the law!" Danny exclaims with a deep frown. "I mean, can't the Order of the Ho-Oh have it?"
"Yes, but that leaves a bit of a problem, Danny." Eli said to Danny in concern. "You see, we have to abandon the house temporarily."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you see, when you inherit the family house, you also inherited..."
Suddenly a crashing noise is heard. Danny turns and saw what made the noise: a familiar grouchy house experiment by the name of Scorpio who scowls and roll in one place, snapping, "Forget it! Meega won't have it! Scorpio hates Fenton!"
"Awww, no," Danny groans, slapping himself on the forehead. "I got him as well?!"
"You see, Kairi and Terra doesn't want the house and you're the other person left to inherit it." Ryan explains to Danny in concern. "You see, if you don't take the house, the place will end up to the most recent living members of the Wise family that wasn't kicked out...and that is Vicky."
"Vicky?! I don't want that witch who killed Ansem to have that house! It holds too much secrets and she will use them against us!"
"Well, she will have the place unless you take it." Swiper said, worried as the group saw Scorpio jumping around, causing more ruckuses, "Unless she got the house already."
"Danny, listen, there's a way to see if you are truly the new owner of 12 Radiant Garden Avenue." Obi-Wan said to Danny gently. "Give an order to Scorpio, it's the only way."
"Not, not, shut up, go away, idiot!" Scorpio scowls as he jumps up and down. "Meega want Vicky!"
Danny rolls his eyes then he snaps angrily to Scorpio, "SCORPIO; SHUT UP!" The house experiment stops suddenly and was forced to keep quiet, much to his annoyance.
"Well, congratulations, bro, you are now the new owner of 12 Radiant Garden Avenue." Ryan said to Danny proudly.
"Yeah, but do I got to have Scorpio follow me all over the place?"
"Maybe not; Why not just ask him to go to Toonwarts to work with Stitch and the other house experiments there?" Obi-Wan suggests to Danny thoughtfully. "They will keep an eye on him and he will be out of your way."
Danny shook his head but turns to Scorpio, saying, "Okay, listen, creep. I don't like you and you don't like me, but for now, I want you to go over to Toonwarts and work with Stitch and the house experiments in the kitchen or whatever. And I don't want to find out that you're causing trouble, Scorpio. Got it?"
Scorpio scowls but salutes his new master before disappearing from sight. Danny sighs a bit as Swiper put the will away, saying, "Well, that's all of it. Congratulations on your new possessions, Danny."
"Thanks. Uh, Obi-Wan...forgive me for asking, but..."
"Oh yes, my hand, rather unpleasant to behold, right; the tale is scary if I say so myself...but right now, this isn't the time to tell it. Take my arm." Obi-Wan requested as he held out his arm. Swiper took Eli's as Ryan prepares himself. "Do as I say."
Danny pauses then glances across the platform. Gwen is getting off work, wondering where he is. The halfa groans and takes Danny's arms...then yelps as his world goes black in a rush of sound and fury as if being thrown into a tornado!

Danny felt like getting a headache as his world returns after it stops spinning. The group finds themselves in a village far away from the train station.
"Did...I just Apparated?" Danny asks Obi-Wan, doing his best not to throw up.
"Yes you did and quite successfully, I might add." Obi-Wan remark with a slight chuckle. "Often folks would throw up on their first time."
"Yeah, don't know why..."
"So dad, what are we doing here?" Ryan asks Eli as the group walk down a steep narrow street past some darkened houses.
"This is the charming village of Toonleigh Loonerton." Eli explains to his sons in amusement. "I betcha you both are wondering why Obi-Wan and I brought you and Swiper here, correct?"
"Well, to be honest, after all these years, I kinda learned to roll with it." Danny explains, making Obi-Wan smile mildly.
"As for me, I just came along with the ride." Swiper explains. The group stops in front of a small stone house which appears to have something wrong. "Huh. Weird, something's off here."
"Yes, wands out, everyone. Or sword in your case, Ryan." Obi-Wan said sternly as he and the others got their wands (or a sword in Ryan's case) out then came into the house. "Lumos."
Obi-Wan's wand/sword blazes, sweeping the shadows and look around the place. Eli, glancing around, called out, "Lemmy!"
No response came. Danny looks puzzled as to who 'Lemmy' is. Obi-Wan's sword is pointed down a narrow hallway. Looks like a lot of dust are dancing in the light but nothing else. The group goes down a hallway and enters an open doorway.
The whole room appears to be a disaster area. A grandfather clock is on the floor with its face cracked, a piano sags in the corner with keys strewn like teeth upon the rug, a copy of the Daily Bugle is trembling in the breeze due to a window being half open.
Danny and Ryan looks around then saw something wet hitting the word 'CHOSEN' on the newspaper. The two looks up and gasps as Ryan exclaims, "Gah!"
The two brothers saw something dark and glutinous splattered on the ceiling, causing the others to look up. Swiper gasps, "Whoa, man!" Obi-Wan raise his wand to get a better look; the ceiling has red as if blood has been on it lately. Something must've happened here.
Another drop of blood fell, hitting Danny on the scar. As the hero prepares to wipe it off, the Jedi grabs his head. He wants to inspect this blood carefully. Obi-Wan use the light from his wand to flick a blackened finger over the scar and taste the blood, he yelps a bit.
"Hmm..." Eli said thoughtfully. Something's not right here. Obi-Wan spots what appears to be an overstuffed armchair; with an amusing smile, the Jedi pokes his wand right into the plump seat cushion.
Suddenly, Danny yelps in surprise as the armchair begins to yell out, "Gah, hey, watch it!" Suddenly the thing begins to turn into a human, getting caught in between. A bit of grumbling, seam splitting and popping of a cushion button or two later and the halfa saw that the human himself is a man in a suit. He had brown hair with a mustache and blue eyes. "Geez, you don't have to disfigure me or anything!"
As the man feel his rump, Obi-Wan smirks while saying, "I don't know, you make a very convincing armchair, Lem." Skroob saw the light shining on him, giving him a better look at his visitors.
"Obi-Wan! Eli!"
"How are you, Lemmy?" Eli asks Skroob with a smile.
"Lemmy," Danny ask Ryan with an arch of his eyebrow.
"My dad's nickname for Mr. Skroob; But it's also a nickname for his real name; Lem." Ryan explains to Danny with a light chuckle. "Oh...and I almost forgot...President Skroob, salute."
All except for Danny and Scroob did some weird salute, while yelling out, "Hail Scroob!" The man himself did the same salute of sorts.
"Anyway, Obi-Wan, Eli, it's all in the upholstery." Skroob chuckles while patting his own stomach. "I came by the stuffing naturally. So how did you know that I was still here?"
"Simple, the Dragon's blood," Obi-Wan said while nodding to the ceiling. "You got careless, Lem."
"Well, what did you expect me to use; Wizard's bloods; Ick!"
"Greetings President Lem Skroob; you may not know me, but this is my introduction." Ryan held up the Fist of Areas, his father's old mace, a symbol of Narnia's military power.
Skroob gasps, "The Fist of Ares! Where did you get this weapon?"
"I gave it to him, Skroob. I am old but well but I gave it to him anyway." Eli explains to Skroob with a chuckle. "I pray to your good health and long life." Skroob pauses as he motions Ryan to come closer to get a better look at him.
"Hey come here, kid. Come closer. That face, I'd recognize that face anywhere. You must be-."
"Ryan. Yes, I am King Eli's youngest son." Ryan explains to Skroob. The man spots Danny and took a step back, seeing the blood on his forehead that highlights the scar. "And you already know Danny here, but he's a part of my family now."
"Whatcha mean?" Skroob ask Ryan puzzled.
"My family and I adopted him in a sense. Meaning he's my adopted brother."
"That is quite an honor!"
"Thanks, I think." Danny said with a shrug.
"Ahem, introductions. Danny, Lem Skroob here is an old friend and colleague of mine who used to teach at Toonwarts. Lem, you know who this is like Ryan mentioned. Yes, there has been some thought that he may be the Chosen One." Obi-Wan explain to Skroob who stares at Danny as if hypnotized.
"So why the theatrics and all that, Skroob," Swiper ask Skroob. "What, were you expecting someone else to arrive?"
"What? Someone else; Errr, fox, I don't know what you mean." Skroob said, snapping out of it and looking a bit nervous. Of course, the other stares at him, finding his explanation hard to believe. "Ugh, fine, all right! You see, the Black Dragons has been trying to recruit me for over a year now!"
"No, really," Ryan asks Skroob in sarcastic surprise.
"Really; you know what it is like! One can only say no to those jerks a lot of times before they..."
"Take matters into their own hands?" Obi-Wan ask Skroob who looks at him in misery. "Yes, we know that you're going into."
"You must've been through heck, Lemmy." Eli said to his old friend in pity.
"Ugh, tell me about it. I mean, I can't stay anywhere more than a week anymore! The Muggles who owns this place are in the Orange Islands right now." Skroob explains to Obi-Wan and Eli with a shrug.
"In that case, we better get things back in order for when they come back. I hope you don't mind," Obi-Wan chuckles a bit. With a wave of his wand, the whole house begins going back to normal. The grandfather goes back to its rightful place, the shattered lanterns are relit, the blood disappears and the piano keys goes back into place with a pleasant musical run., "My, that was run! Excuse me, Lem, I hope you don't mind if I use the loo."
"Yes, we have come all this way and I need to look at a few things." Eli explains as he and Obi-Wan heads down the hall.
"Don't play me for a fool you two and think that I don't know why you're here! The answer is still no, Obi-Wan!" Skroob yells after the Jedi angrily, "Absolutely, unequivocally no! Forget it!"
"What do you mean?" Swiper asks Skroob puzzled. It's like the man here knows that Obi-Wan came here to see him for a special purpose and Skroob doesn't want to get involved in anyway. The man ignores Swiper as he glances at Danny for a while.
"Danny, you look like your dad...well, except for the eyes. You see, you've got..."
"My mother's eyes, I know." Danny said with an amusing smile. The hero has gotten this compliment many times before after all.
"Yes, yes, Maddie, Lovely, Maddie." Skroob said with a light smile to Dnany. "Yes, she was exceedingly bright, your mother of course. Why, it was even more impressive since she is a Muggle-born."
"Well, I got a friend who is a Muggle-born too, sir; the best in our year."
"I see. Now don't you get the idea that I'm prejudiced! Why, your mother was my absolute favorite, one of them! Why, there she is right now, right up in front."
Skroob chuckles as he motions to a dresser that has photographs of his students. Ryan glances at them, saying, "Very impressive, Lemmy."
"Yes, and they are mine, each and every one...well, ex-students anyway." Skroob chuckles as he motions to the pictures. "You of course know of Robbie Robertson, one of the editors of the Daily Bugle. He always takes my Noctowl whenever I wish to give out my opinion on the news of the day. And course, there's Grace Winslow of Wonka's who send a hamper of chocolate to my home each birthday...well, when I had one anyway. And finally, there's Moose Mason, the captain of the Holyhead Flying Monkeys, he always gives me free tickets whenever I want them. Too bad I haven't been to a match in some time."
Danny looks at a picture of a boy and looks surprised. He kinda resembles Ansem a bit. Skroob, noticing him, studies the boy like a rare object while saying, "Oh yes, Master Xehanort. Of course, you know of his older brother Ansem the Wise."
"Unfortunately," Ryan said with a sigh, "Died a few weeks ago. Oh yes, Master Xehanort...he is father of Xehanort Jr. who was Ansem's apprentice; Died when the boy tripped and fell down and down and hit the ground. Master Xehanort blamed his brother for that accident and never spoke to him again afterwards."
"Yes, I taught the whole Wise family except for Ansem as well as Xehanort Jr. and maybe Roxas and Kairi. Shame, Ansem is just a talented boy. I got Master Xehanort when he came along but I prefer if I had the whole set."
"Say, all right if I take this?" Obi-Wan ask his friend as he and Eli came from doing their business in the restroom. The Jedi hold up some sort of Muggle magazine, much to his friend's notice. "Yes, I do love knitting patterns."
"Yes, yes, of course you can have it." Skroob said with a shrug. Obi-Wan and Eli nods as they prepare to leave. "Wait, hang on! Are you two leaving?"
"Yes, Obi-Wan knows a lost cause when he sees it." Eli remarks to Skroob with a shrug, "Regrettable to be honest. We would've considered it a personal triumph if you decided to come back to Toonwarts, Lemmy. Oh well, your decision."
"Yes, come on, Danny." Obi-Wan said as the group prepares to leave. "Lem, you are, like my friend Mr. Fenton, one of a kind."
"Dad, I thought we were..." Ryan begins to say, surprised that his father as well as Obi-Wan would just give up on talking Skroob into coming back, but Eli shush him.
"Wait for it." Eli said quietly, giving a wink to Ryan. This causes the Narnian to grin, now realizing what his father has in mind.
"Oh yes, well, good to meet you, President Skroob. Of course, I should warn you: the Black Dragons may consider coming to this area now that Vader has come back...but sounds like you got things taken care of for yourself."
The group leaves the house. Skroob looks around the house, beginning to get a bit nervous. In fact, Obi-Wan's group didn't go far down the walk when the front door of the place opens and the president came out, looking worried.
"All right, all right, I'll do it! It will kill me, but all right!" Skroob exclaims with a groan. "But I want Professor Blaine's office, not that pathetic water closet that I used to have. And I want a raise, Obi-Wan! These are mad times we live in, mad I say!"
"Indeed they are." Obi-Wan said in amusement. At least now, he is glad that President Skroob is back on board at Toonwarts.
The group heads back to the village square. What happened back there made Danny concerned as he asks, "Obi-Wan, Eli, what was that back..."
"Danny, you are talented, famous and powerful, which is everything that Lemmy values." Eli explains to Danny gently. "Knowing Professor Skroob, he will try to collect you; you would be his crowning jewel. That is why he is returning to Toonwarts."
"Yes, but there must be more than that, right dad?" Ryan asks Eli, suspecting that there must be a better reason as to why the headmaster Obi-Wan want him back at Toonwarts.
"Yes, it's important that he returns." Obi-Wan said seriously. Danny looks a bit intrigued by the last statement. The halfa was about to speak up when the Jedi interrupted him, "Danny, I must apologize. Eli and I have stolen a wondrous night from you. That girl was very pretty."
"Oh yes, her." Swiper remarks with a shrug. "Yeah, she is a pretty one."
"It's all right, sir. I will come back tomorrow and make some excuse..." Danny said with a sigh, planning on coming back to the diner tomorrow to explain why he has to left without explanation.
"No offense, Danny, but the girl isn't right for you. Trust me." Ryan said to Danny sternly, interrupting what his brother. The Narnian has a good reason for saying that and it involves his promise to June.
"And you won't be going back to Little Wing tonight, Danny." Obi-Wan said seriously to the halfa, much to Danny's surprise.
"Wait, what about Sam? And Hunter and Lily," Danny ask in worry, preferring to his Noctowl Sam and his puppies Hunter and Lily that Ryan gave to him. "And then there's my trunk."
"Relax, Danny, they are waiting for you where we're going." Ryan explains with a slight chuckle.
"There is another thing, Daniel. You will be taking private lessons with me and Eli at Toonwarts. Ryan and Luke will be attending as well." Obi-Wan said to Danny sternly. "It's best that you and anyone else outside of us not know about these lessons. They could be the key to the defeat of Lord Vader once and for all."
"But can't some of our friends know?" Danny asks Obi-Wan in concern. It wouldn't be right if only he, Obi-Wan, Eli, Ryan and Luke knows about what's going on in the lessons.
"Well, Danny would need all the help that he can get, right?" Swiper asks Obi-Wan with a smile, making the Jedi get a thoughtful look on his face.
"Hmmm; Yes, Mr. Long and Miss Barrett has proven themselves trustworthy over the years." Obi-Wan said thoughtfully. "As well as Mr. Ketchum, Miss Waterflower, Shadow, Cream, Cheese, Brock, May, Max, Dawn, their Pokémon, and Gemerl, as well as who you got in your group recently especially Miss Mara Jade whom Luke has been seeing lately; But no one else. The information in these lessons must be kept a secret so that Vader won't know what we're up to."
"Well, Daniel, shall we be off?" Eli asks as Obi-Wan hold out his arm, wanting Danny to take it. The halfa shrugs and touch the silk of his headmaster's cloak...

Suddenly Danny yelps as he apparatus in front of a familiar house, falling into a mud puddle. As the halfa got back up, Ryan came over, asking, "Danny, are you all right?"
"I'm fine. Master Obi-Wan? Eli? Swiper," Danny asks he looks around. Obi-Wan, Eli and Swiper are nowhere in sight. "Where are they?"
"They obviously dropped us off here while doing their business. We're at the Longs' home. Come on."
The two brothers head over to the crooked house. Danny sees a familiar girl with raven hair with a pink stripe in it flitting briefly past an upstairs window. Wow, is that June? She looks...well, beautiful when the halfa saw her last!
Inside the house, June came down a vertiginous staircase and heads into the kitchen. To her surprise, she saw a large trunk as well as an owl cage with a familiar Noctowl in it in there, along with Hunter and Lily eating some food from a bowl.
June looks confused, cocking her head to one side, making Sam do the same thing; Hunter, noticing, spoke up, "Oh hey June."
"Sam? Hunter, Lily?" June ask in surprise. If Danny's pets are here, that must mean... "Aunt Susan!"
June came into the downstairs hallway, looking up past some twisting railings and crooked bedrooms doors. Barbara came out of a room, looking concerned as she answers, "June, what's wrong? Is it your Uncle Jonathan? What, something happened at the Council of Narnia? Was he kidnapped? Is it the Black Dragons?"
"Sure, Aunt Susan. How did you guess?" June answers; This causes Susan to gasps, throwing her hands to her facem "Hee hee, just joking, Aunt Susan!"
"Ugh, why am I not surprised? You are worse than Edward and Alphonse."
"Now I know you're joking. Anyway, can you tell me when Danny got here?"
"Danny who," Susan ask her niece puzzled, not sure what she is talking about.
"Danny Dimplebutt." June remarks sarcastically then she continues, "Danny Fenton of course!"
"Huh. Weird, I would've known if Danny Fenton was in my house."
"But I saw his trunk in the kitchen, along with Sam, Hunter and Lily."
"Come on, that's crazy, I seriously doubt..." Susan was suddenly cut off as Sam is heard screeching, much to her surprise, along with Hunter and Lily barking. June smirks a bit, looks like she was proven right.
Another door opens as Jake, Ash and Shadow came out, the half dragon asks, "Yo, did someone mention Danny?"
"I did, nosy." June remarks to her cousin. "Any chance he is up there with you, Ash and Shadow?"
"No, not really. I would've known if my best friend was in my room."
"And Shadow and I haven't seen Danny yet." Ash said in concern as Pikachu crawls onto his shoulder, looking puzzled.
"Pikachu, pika," Pikachu said with a nod.
Another door opens as Betty, Misty and Cream came out in robes, the red haired girl was holding a toothbrush and was in the middle of brushing her teeth when she overheard the commotion.
"Did I just hear a Noctowl?" Betty asks the others curiously.
"Yeah, it was Danny's." June explains to her friends. "Have you seen him around?"
"No, not really," Cream said while blinking her eyes. "Then again, he's probably going invisible since he is half ghost; probably wandering around the house somewhere."
"Really," Betty asks Cream skeptically.
"Yeah, really," A familiar voice spoke up. June turns around and saw a surprising and happy sight: there's Danny standing in the kitchen doorway with Ryan.
"Danny! Ryan!" Danny's friends exclaims in surprise.
Some of the others came downstairs as Luke came out of a room, asking, "What's going on?"
"Come downstairs, Luke. Danny's here!" Shadow exclaims with a big smile.
June gave Danny a great grinning hug. Something oddly changed in the moment, a big surprise to them both as if the two want to keep hugging and not stop. Even Ryan notice as he chuckles a bit in amusement.
As the others came downstairs, more hugs came all around with Cream crying, "Danny, it's good to see you!"
"Chao, chao, chao," Cheese exclaims with a happy smile.
"Why didn't you tell us that you and Ryan were coming?" Susan asks Danny, bewildered that he and Ryan didn't tell anyone that the two were coming over.
"Oh, I didn't know." Danny said with a chuckle. "But of course, there's the idea of Obi-Wan..."
"Oh yes, that man; But then again, what would we do without him? Jake!"
Jake notice something on Betty's chin and was about to touch it but she moves her head away. The half dragon says, "Say, Betty, you've got a bit of..."
Jake points to what he saw on Betty's chin: a stray lace of toothpaste. The girl wipes the stuff before giving an odd look to her friend.
"Oh brother," Misty remarks with a smile while shaking her head. Still, it's good that the whole gang is here.

The gang decides to camp out in the attic in front of a makeshift campfire of blue flames that didn't disintegrate or cause fire to the place. As the Daily Bugle tumbles within it, Danny uses the tip of his wand to stroke the fire, glancing at the 'Chosen One?' word that mingles with Paul's haunted face in the flames.
"So Obi-Wan and Eli got some lessons planned for me and Danny this year?" Luke ask Ryan in surprise.
"Yes...but he doesn't want anyone outside of us or our usual group to know about them." Ryan said sternly to the others. "We can't let anyone know what we found out. Secrecy is the key to beating Vader once and for all."
"So when did some of you got here?" Danny ask the ones who don't live at the Longs' house when they got here.
"We all got here a few days ago." Betty explains to Danny with a nod. "Though for a bit, I wasn't sure that I was coming."
"Right, some of our families are worried." Gemerl beeps a bit to Danny in concern. "With what's happening lately, it may not be safe coming back to that place."
"Mom almost lost it last week. She told me that June and I shouldn't go back to Toonwarts." Jake said in worry. "She said that it was too dangerous."
"Come on..." Danny begins to say in disbelief. Yeah, the world got dangerous now that Vader has returned and his followers got ten times more dangerous but there is no reason not to go back to Toonwarts and resume studies as well as finding out ways to defend themselves against the forces of the Sith Lord.
"Mrs. Long isn't alone. Even my own parents, who are Muggles in case you've forgotten, know something bad is going to happen." Betty adds with a sigh, knowing that her parents are worried about what's to come.
"My mom was worried as well. It took some convincing by Ryan to allow me to come back to Toonwarts." Ash said in concern.
"Everyone's parents are worried that their children would be harmed during this mad second war." Misty said grimly. "It won't be long before sometime terrible would happen big time."
"Anyway, dad stepped in and told mom that she was being barmy." Jake said with a shrug. "It took about two days but she came around...as far as we know anyway."
"Still, this is Toonwarts we're talking about as well as Obi-Wan." Danny said, trying to assure his friends that they got nothing to worry about since Obi-Wan is still in charge of Toonwarts. "What could be safer?"
"Yeah, there had been some problems." Ryan said hesitantly as some of Danny's friends look at each other in concern.
"Right, there has been a lot of chatter lately." Betty said in concern about Obi-Wan. "That he has gotten old...and probably scared."
"Come on, that's dumb! Obi-Wan aren't scared of anything!" Danny scoffs a bit, waving off the 'scared part' in disbelief though he fails to see the worried look on Ryan's face. "As well as old, how old is he anyway?"
"150; give or take a few years." Jake jokes a bit.
That did it, the tension got broken. The gang nods then laugh like mad at the joke before quieting down. As Danny poke at the Daily Bugle, he glances at the haunted face of Paul that appears briefly before disappearing...

Author's note
Well, things are getting interesting now, aren't they? In the next chapter, while the gang visits the Elrics' new joke shop, they saw Paul and his mother apparently up to no good, though some of them don't think that Vader would get involved with someone like Paul. And while Danny spies on his rival, Paul ambushes him. Read, review and suggest.
