Author's note
All right, two more chapters left to go. I am hoping to get these fics done before July is done. If not, it's late Christmas in July fics time. Read onward!

Chapter 4: The Soldier and Doll Number

In a quiet area, Scooby-Doo was playing the piano. DM77 was with him as a song begins to play.

Scooby-Doo: Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on our troubles will be out of sight

DM77: Have yourself a merry little Christmas

"Yeah." Scooby-Doo said with a smile.

Make the Yuletide gay
From now on our troubles will be miles away

Scooby-Doo: Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore

DM77: Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more

"How nice." Scooby-Doo chuckles as both begins to sing.

Both: Through the years we all will be together
If the fates allow

Scooby-Doo: Hang a shining star upon the highest bough

Both: And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

On the very last notes, Scooby-Doo slowly finished playing a single key version of Jingle Bells. DM77 nodded as he spoke, "Wonderful, just wonderful..."

"DM77! DM77, hey!" Minnie exclaims, upset as she rushes into the room.

"Minnie, what? What's wrong?"

"How could you?!"

"What?" DM77 ask confused, not sure what Minnie is on about.

"How could you?!" Minnie snaps once more to dM77.

"You sir are in big trouble!" Clarabelle exclaims, frowning as she and Daisy came into the room.

"How could you do that to her?" Daisy ask with a scowl to the author. DM77 is more confused, what is Minnie upset at him for?

"Can you girls even tell me what I even did?" DM77 ask, wanting to know what Minnie is upset with him about first.

"Oh. Well, you know that big new production that you were planning for us?"

"Yeah?"

"Well, we're in it, that's for sure, but according to the script, it's now starring Fifi!" Clarabelle exclaims in concern. "Minnie doesn't seem to be in it!"

"So who is Fifi, hmmm?" Minnie ask DM77 suspiciously.

"Well, uh..." DM77 begins to say, now slowly realizing why Minnie’s upset.

"Where is she, DM77? I will tear her from limb from limb!"

"Wait, wait, Minnie, hang on, wait."

"What?" Minnie ask DM77 with a frown. He is betraying her and the author of all people is saying that to her?

"Listen, no one could play Fifi, Minnie, no one but you."

"Wait, me?"

"Yes, you are Fifi." DM77 assures the female mouse with a smile.

"So wait, I'm confused. Who is Fifi?" Clarabelle ask confused as she scratches her head.

"Oh, she's a character that Minnie's playing. You see, there is no actor, just a character that Minnie is playing in the number."

"Oh, I see." Daisy said in realization. Minnie is playing the character known as Fifi!

"So in other words, Fifi is..." Minnie said, getting the whole thing now. She is playing the character.

"That's correct." DM77 said with a nod, relieved that the mouse has gotten the idea now.

"Really? That's great. Thinking about me as Fifi which is me! Hee hee, you're a prince." Minnie giggles as she kisses DM77 on the forehead and cheeks, making him laugh.

"Ha ha ha, Minnie."

"Well, we better get ready." Daisy said as she and the others girls left with DM77 following.

"Right, I cannot wait." DM77 said with a smile. This is going to be one big number that the gang won't forget.

-------------------

We saw the script as chattering is heard. A voice spoke up as we see the script's marking which said "PRODUCTION # (DM77 - Wooden Soldier, Minnie Mouse - Fifi)" on it, Place, get ready for the production number, folks. Pleases."

The number begins at a house as singers were heard.

Good King Wenceslas looked out
on the feast of Stephen,
when the snow lay round about,
deep and crisp and even.

Inside the house, a trumpet noise is heard as a ribbon on a polka dotted box unwrapped itself near a Christmas tree. It opens up as drum noises are heard. Various male characters dressed as soldiers, as well as DM77, came out. Most of them post and motion together in sync. When they looked onward, the soldiers posed with their prop guns.

All but DM77 who notices that his gun is missing, making him ask, "Huh?" He looks to see his gun sticking out of the present, going over to take it and pose once more. "All right..."

Once the author goes into position, the soldiers begins to march before forming a line. They turned a bit and work their legs, then marched into two different lines. The men turns, marching downward. All of them but DM77 turns around, marching and stopped to salute. DM77 saw this and quickly got back into position by marching backward. He then turn and glancing before saluting, making squeaky noises in the position.

After that, the soldiers turned at each direction with most of them doing so quickly and DM77 moves a bit slowly. A new song begins to play.

Men: We have that most particular thing as anyone can see

DM77: We've got

Men: We've got Camaraderie

The soldiers kept on marching with DM77 doing so still a bit out of sync.

The thing that makes it easy to march in perfect harmony

The men gathers together with DM77 being lifted briefly as he sings.

DM77: We've got

Men: We've got

DM77: Camaraderie

The soldiers kept on marching, though DM77 kept on doing so the wrong ways.

Men: Always there with somebody to help you share
But we'll hurry to help you there if you are up the creek

DM77 almost walked through them but his pals pulled him back.

Safe and sound, what a comfort to know that he's around
Seven days a week

The men begins to form a long line once more. Both sides begins to twirl as the song resumes itself.

We tell each other terrible jokes and laugh hysterically

One of the men bumps into DM77 as he got into another line.

DM77: We've got

Men: We've got Camaraderie

The men kept on marching with the author still making a few mistakes here and there.

You're looking at an army of blokes whose secrets seems to be
Compatability

The men bumps into the hero who slid by them.

Uniforms, shoes with spats, hope he got us fancy hats
Our future is as plain as A-B-C

DM77 came up to the front, only to be bumped by the soldiers. He quickly goes behind the males who sang their part.

It's C-A-M-A-R-A-D-E-R-I-

When DM77 arrives at the end, he pauses and realizes that it's his cue.

"E!" DM77 exclaims quickly. He made an "okay" motion then sang with his pals as they hopped and march onward.

DM77: That spells

Men: That spells

DM77: With bells

Men: With bells

All: Camaraderie

The men begins to formed a few lines with DM77 up front. They danced, hopped, salute and aims their guns during the progress. The author prepares to salute but was cut off by a cannon fire, making him turn around. Bugle noises begins to sound off. Time to go into battle!

DM77 nods as the soldiers marched to form a line. The hero is up front as they sing onward.

Men: We've got

DM77: Red hot

All: Camaraderie

The soldiers felt downward, leaning down. They stood up, recovering before marching off. DM77 came back and waves, calling to another box, "Wait for me, Fifi! For I shall return!"

DM77 gave out a salute before he was pulled away. After a while, a box opened up. Minnie is in there, wearing a toy dress with red toy marks on her cheeks, sitting up with a smile. Her friends Daisy and Clarabelle are with her, in the same clothes.

After the girls looked around, they got up and walks to the top. They panted as they could hear firing. The girls grunted, trying to get onto the presents until they are successful. They looked out the window, hearing the gun firing, much to their concern. Minnie begins to sing.

Minnie: If it takes forever I will wait for you
For a thousand summers I will wait for you
Till you're here beside me, till I'm touching you
And forevermore sharing your love
The clock will tick away the hours one by one
Then the time will come when all the waiting's done
The time when you return and find me here and run
Straight to my waiting arms

In another scene, DM77 was running to Minnie in slow motion with the female mouse heading to him the same way. Minnie pauses and spoke to the camera, "I think the girls and I remember doing this in a movie somewhere."

As Minnie continues unware, she jumped in time to dodge a gunshot. DM77 sadly didn't as he groans, holding his belly as if the author was shot. DM77 then fell backward into the box, closing it as his leg sticks out.

Minnie, with Daisy and Clarabelle joining her, saw the soldiers marching to where he is and opening the box. The soldiers pulled DM77. Luckily, he is all right. They came together before singing the final number.

Men: All shout

DM77 & Minnie: Fall out

All: Camarade-

Everyone stopped as they hear familiar jingle bell noises, followed by someone calling out, "Ho-ho-ho!" It's Santa! The men marched back to the box quickly as the song comes to an end.

-rie!

DM77 looks back, waving to Minnie as she and her friends lies back in the box that closes over them. The author grabs his toy gun and jumps back into the box just as it rewrapped itself. We pull back to the house as wind blows in the quiet night, ending this number.

Author's note
