Episode 17: Celestia vs. Luna vs. Cadance vs. Twilight

Twilight flew as fast as her wings could take her until she arrives at Canterlot Castle. The Princess of Friendship has been summoned by Celestia herself for an important thing. Her mentor didn't explain what it is but will promise to do so upon arrival.

After the guards let her in, Twilight trots through the palace and arrives at a room where Celestia wanted her to meet: an empty some sort of big round room. Celestia herself is here, along with Luna and Cadance.

"Princess? You summon me?" Twilight ask curiously. "Cadance, Luna, you're here too."

"Great to see you again, little sister-in-law." Cadance giggles a bit, hugging Twilight.

"Now every Alicorn, minus Nyx, Brave Heart and Golden Heart, is here, we shall begin." Luna said with a nod. "This is a traditional thing we like to do every few years or so."

"And that is?" Twilight ask Luna, with an arch of an eyebrow.

"Fight each other, of course!"

"Let me explain before you get alarmed, Princess Twilight Sparkle. Every few years or so, we princesses would get together and fight each other to see how we have improved since our ascension to Alicorn." Celestia explains clearly to Twilight as to what's going on.

"Oh, I see." Twilight said, though a bit nervous. She has to fight her mentor, her friend, and her foal sitter?!

"Last time Luna won. I'm hoping for a better chance this time." Cadance said to Twilight with a nod. The pink Alicorn gave a mischievous smile as she ask, "So how about it? Want to see how far you've gone?"

"Well, I suppose so...but you will take it easy on me, right girls?"

"Well, last time was a rough fight." Celestia said, knowing that Twilight isn't experienced in major flank battles like the Royal Sister stars yet. She comment, "Considering all four of us need to keep our fighting skills sharp, just in case, how about a friendly four-way Alicorn sparring match, just to stay in shape?"

"It shall be done." Luna said with a smirk as the Alicorns prepare to get themselves ready. "I shall not wait to knock you all on your flanks again."

"This time will be different, little sister!"

FIGHT!!!

Celestia and Luna charges at each other. Twilight chose to go after Cadance since the Royal Sisters are more experiences and the purple one wishes to take on the less experienced first.

Luna and Celestia fires beams at each other, doing their best not to kill one another. Celestia flew in and knock her sister across the room. Luna, hitting a wall, snorts and fires a huge wave, hitting Celestia before she flew in, hitting her a few times.

Cadance meanwhile charges in and hits Twilight who teleports around. The pink Alicorn snaps, "Come on, Twilight! Hold still!"

"Nah nah! You couldn't catch me even when I was young!" Twilight taunts. This is like being a little foal again when the filly would love to play "It" with Cadance.

"Oh, I will get you down, you little stinker."

Cadance quickly fires a paralyzing spell, catching Twilight in her tracks. The pink mare then charges in, hitting Twilight a few time then buck kicks her to the floor.

Meanwhile, Celestia flew up and fires a huge beam at Luna who blocks it with her own. The Goddess of the Night crows, "Just like centuries ago, right sister?"

"Right, except no Nightmare Moon involved." Celestia said with a smirk. "And no need for the elements. I will beat you with the advantage."

"I would try the Nightmare Moon form but like you said, this is a friendly sparring match!"

"Well, I did left out one detail..."

Luna looks confused, what does Celestia meant by that? Suddenly as the blue mare steps forward, she yelps as some explosions occurred around her, sending graffiti and cake all over Luna. Celestia giggles as she flew down and smacks her sister down with her flank.

"I booby-trapped the room before your arrival." Celestia said to Luna with a mischievous smile.

"Oh, you stinker! That's why you got the nickname Trollestia." Luna comments, chuckling as she shakes her head. That sister of hers!

Twilight manages to recover and quickly performs a spell that made clones of herself. Cadance looks bewildered. She doesn't recall her sister in law doing this! Cadance fires beams at the clones like mad, until most of the clones has been taken out.

"Over here!" Twilight calls out from behind Cadance.

Cadance quickly fires a beam...but didn't hit Twilight but ended up hitting Luna, paralyzing her. This allows Celestia to zoom in and smacks her sister down, knocking her unconscious.

"Thanks, Cadance!" Celestia giggles to Cadance who looks startled by the fact that she took out her aunt. Then Twilight hits the pink mare from behind with a spell, knocking her out. "Twilight?"

"Sorry, Cadance, forgive me." Twilight mumbles to her sister-in-law. She stood in front of her teacher/fellow student. "Well, this is it, huh?"

"Yes, show me how much you've learned, my faithful fellow princess."

Twilight nods as the final part of the fight begins. Both princesses charged in and butt heads. They jump back, firing beams at each other before an explosion occurs, knocking each other back. It's everyone's fight now!

Twilight groans in exhaustion as Celestia fires round after round of beams at her opponent. The purple Alicorn has made it this far, but won't stand much against an experienced princess. She needs to use smarts instead of...

Wait, that's it! Twilight smirks as she works on a spell. Celestia looks puzzled. What is the little Alicorn up to now?

"Hey, princess, look!" Twilight exclaims, pointing with a hoof at something. Celestia turns to see something in clear sight. It's...

"CAKE!" Celestia exclaims happily as she licks her lips upon seeing a very huge cake. The white Alicorn flew in, forgetting the battle for a moment. Time to eat...

Except Celestia went through the "cake", hitting herself on a wall. It was a hallucination all along! Twilight smirks as her opponent is in a daze, flying in and hitting her former teacher quickly. With a quick beam to the face and the white princess unable to defend herself, Celestia went down.

"It comes to show...what I made up for in brawns, I got brains." Twilight sighs a bit as she sat down amongst the unconscious princesses, waiting for them to wake up.

KO!

THIS MATCH'S WINNER...TWILIGHT SPARKLE!!!

It took a few minutes but the rest of the princess remain unconsciousness. Luna groans, "So who won?"

"That would be me." Twilight said, waving a hoof sheepishly.

"So you did." Celestia said, smiling as she nuzzles Twilight who nuzzles her back. "Congratulations, my faithful princess."

"Thanks. I hope to do even better the next time when I'm more experienced." Twilight then giggles as she comment, "You know, we should keep doing this ever so often. You know, just mutual good-natured sparring for no other reason than to keep our fighting and magic skills sharp against opponents who are powerful enough to give us a good workout, but loyal and friendly enough to NOT take it too far."

"Don't we do that anyway?" Cadance ask Twilight with an amused look on her face.

"Rematch next time, little peasant?" Luna ask Cadance with a mischievous look, seeing how her niece was the one who helped Celestia beat her.

"You're going down!"

Twilight and Celestia couldn't help but laugh. Those two.
