Danny Phantom and the Temple of Secrets chapter 8

Chapter 8: Leader of the Death Eaters

Danny's group continues on their way through the tunnel. They hear chanting of some sort. The gang must be reaching the inner temple. As Danny goes through the narrow cave area, he saw something that makes him gasps, "Whoa man!"
The others join him and finally saw a group of figures in cloaks with symbols on them. They appears to be worshipping some sort of shadowy statue figure while drums play on. Something's going on, especially with the chanting.
"Danny, what is it?" Ryan asks Danny quietly.
"The Death Eaters and they're doing some sort of ceremony." Danny said with a deep frown. So, Lucius was wrong. The Death Eaters are still around! Somehow, the halfa suspects that Ryan's so-called friend is hiding something. Ryan looks at the symbol, gasping in realization upon recognizing the meaning.
"Wait a minute…these Death Eaters…bear a certain symbol. It's a red eye."
"Like the Eye of Sauron?"
"Indeed, Danny. And I don't like this at all." Ryan said grimly.
"Yes, they're worshipping Sauron. Somehow our old 'friend' came back to haunt us." Danny remarks, recalling the remains of Sauron that he gave to Lex back in China. Somehow, the monster's regime extended to even here.
The gang look at a huge head flaming its eyes as Kim ask quietly, "Ever seen anything like this before?"
"Hardly. No one has seen this for a hundred years." Ryan said seriously. This is the first time that outsiders witness the ceremony...alive so far.
The drums kept on going until they stopped. A figure came over to the edge of the fiery pit which was used for sacrificed. The people bowed to the newcomer. The figure himself is a bald man with the nose and eyes of a snake. He was wearing an all black cloak that went all the way down to his feet. This man was none other than the darkest wizard to live, Lord Voldemort, whom Danny and Ryan knew from reputation.
"Voldemort. What is he and his pals doing?" Ryan asks Danny quietly. If Voldemort's indeed involved, then it's not good.
As the figures chant a lot, Voldemort glance at them and Wooldoor, much to his delight and notice. The new Maharajah is one of them! But from the dazed look on his face, the gang suspects that something is not right with the sockbat for some reason.
"No, let me go, let me go!" Someone is heard yelling, much to the concern of some of those in hiding. The gang saw a victim named Cedric being brought over to Voldemort while being put into some sort of cage. The boy gulps in fear as the bar was put down, being placed by while Cedric is being tied up. "No, no, no!"
The Dark Wizard smirks evilly at Cedric then speaks ancient Parseltongue, which some say to be the language of Sauron. Voldemort casts some sort of spell before raising his hand to the statue.
"What is he talking about?" Stitch asks confused. This doesn't look good.
Everyone saw Voldemort coming near Cedric, reaching his hand towards his chest while speaking, "Sauron! Sauron! Sauron!"
What happened next was very much horrifying: Voldemort slams his hands right into Cedric's chest, causing the boy to scream. The heroes watch in horror as the Dark Wizard pulls out what is obviously an heart. Lilo would've scream but Kim quickly covers her mouth in time.
Voldemort smirks wickedly as he continues speaking Parseltongue with Cedric, seeing his own heart out, gasping like mad. The cult, especially a creepy man named Peter Pettigrew AKA Wormtail, cheers on wildly. Voldemort kept on speaking more of the language while shouting.
"Still alive," Danny said in concern. Voldemort's spell kept Cedric alive even when his heart is out and it still doesn't look good!
As Cedric was being placed down, the boy groans out in worry, "No, please no, no!"
Soon the gang watch as the cage was lifted up, tossing the victim around. Soon the door in the floor opens up, revealing some sort of shadowy swirling vortex. The cult chants on like mad as Cedric is being send to the vortex, screaming as he kept getting near it.
"What's happening?" Lilo ask in fright.
Ryan gasps as he explains, "Oh no! They're gonna sacrifice that boy. No wonder my great-grandfather worked hard to eradicate the Death Eaters."
As the cult chants on wildly, Kim covers her mouth. Everyone watch as the fiery shadowy pit swallows the screaming Cedric...before the heart that is held by Voldemort is lit on fire. The Dark Wizard laughs cruelly and wickedly. Yet another sacrifice to the mighty Sauron!
The gang his quickly as the metal chain was lifted up, bringing up the cage with now empty. Poor Cedric. Wormtail came over with a cloth object, removing it to reveal what is similar to the original Arkenstone, except its blue, small and has what appear to be the symbols of Men, Dwarves and Elves on it. The cult cheers wildly as the members show three more Arkenstones, each one glow with the fourth one. The heroes saw them being put into the holes of a head statue.
As the cult members back away to bow, Danny whispers about the stone held by Wormtail, "That's the stone that they took from the village, one of the children of the original Arkenstone."
The four Arkenstones glow all so brightly. Lilo whispers, "So why are they glowing like that?"
"According to legend, when the Arkenstones are brought together, the power within the diamonds inside them will merge together to glow."
"What diamonds?" Stitch asks Danny puzzled and surprised.
"Diamonds," Kim whispers in surprise. So the power within the Arkenstones...is inside the diamonds within!
"Shhh," Ryan said shushing Kim a bit. She can't let the group be caught. Still, the woman smiles eagerly at the thought of such diamonds.
"Diamonds..."
The gang watch as the stones glow some more. Soon they see everyone down below departing, doing whatever it is that they themselves are going to be doing. Danny knew that now is the time to recover the Muppets' stone...and maybe steal the other Arkenstones to stop the Death Eaters' plot.
"Hey, listen." Danny said to everyone who turns their attention to him. "You all stay up here and keep quiet. Ryan, you're with me. Lilo, Stitch; Keep an eye on Kim."
"Why? Where are you going?" Kim asks in concern as Danny and Ryan prepares to head down to the floor below.
"What else, down there."
"Down there?! Are you two out of your mind?!"
"Listen, we cannot leave without the Arkenstones." Ryan explains seriously to Kim about the situation. "We can't let Voldemort and his minions have them and get the power within the stones themselves.
"But...what if something horrible happens to you, Danny?" Kim ask Danny in worry.
"Come on, I'm Danny Phantom, I can take care of it, with my ecto-blasts, invisibility, the works." Danny insists to Kim with a chuckle. "Come on, trust me."
"Oh, I'm worried about that. You're just going to get killed chasing after your dumb Fortune and Glory!"
"Maybe...just not today."
"Come on, Danny, let's get going." Ryan insists to Danny in concern. He doesn't know how long before Voldemort or anyone from the Death Eaters cult would come back and it's best not to be around once they find out that their Arkenstones had been swiped.
Danny nods in agreement before giving Kim a huge kiss, much to Stitch's disgust. Soon the two brothers head downward on their wait, skillfully climbing down the temple and going through the balance. They finally reach the pit area with Danny bringing his whip out though the two almost fell during the whole thing.
"Okay, Ryan, get ready." Danny said with a nod as Ryan took the whip. The halfa flew over as Ryan uses his brother's whip to get across. Both of them got across safely.
"Okay, that's good." Ryan said with a sigh of relief. The two came over to the statue head slowly with Danny glancing at the one monster who was Sauron.
"Ugh. Sauron is a creep no matter looks like, corpse, statue, or otherwise!" Danny mumbles. He then came near the first Arkenstone, the same one that was stolen from the Muppets.
"Be careful, Danny."
"Careful..." Kim said quietly from above, getting scared.
Danny took the first Arkenstone out, causing it and the other stones to stop glowing. The halfa put the Arkenstone he got near the others, making them glow once more. Interesting.
"Well, now I know what they meant by Fortune and Glory." Danny said thoughtfully, now understanding the whole 'Fortune and Glory' contempt.
"The power within the Arkenstones," Ryan said quietly. The two brothers quickly bagged up the other Arkenstones, Danny yelps a bit as he saw the snake statue which freaks him out a bit.
"Well, time for us to get going."
Danny and Ryan are preparing to take their leave...but both of them heard a voice, making them turn to hear more noises. Not good. The Death Eaters are returning or are discovering that the Arkenstones are being stolen from them!
"Ryan, take the stones." Danny said as he gave the bag with the stones in them to his brother. "I'm not going anymore just yet."
"Danny, I don't like it when you look like that." Ryan said seriously as he and Danny spots a door near the two before looking back at the altar.
As Danny and Ryan heads to the back of the altar, on their way to the door, Kim, Lilo and Stitch watch them go in concern and confusion. Where are they going? Danny and Ryan had gotten the Arkenstones!
"Where's he going?" Kim whispers puzzled.
Suddenly a guard appears, causing them to scream in alarm as Kim was grabbed. Lilo yelps, "Hey, let go! Keep away!"
Lilo and Stitch yelps as more guards grab them. Kim quickly kicks the guard grabbing her, causing her to make a run for it.
"Hurry, run, Kim, run!" Stitch exclaims, trying to fight off the guard which is too strong for him. Kim didn't waste any time as she leaves the area in worry.

Author's note
Uh oh. Lilo and Stitch are captured. In the next chapter, Danny and Ryan get captured too with Voldemort planning on forcing one of them to be a follower of Sauron. Read, review and suggest!
